ARTIST BIO
My artistic journey sprouted early in my youth from an inclination to collect "found objects" and mesh them into sculptures, always in wonder of how things arrive at their current state, the way seemingly unrelated materials may come together, and if they should ever fall apart. Unconscious of the basis for these artistic exertions then, I would more often indulge similar reflections in a passion for writing. This, coupled with my inquisitive nature and search for essence, led me into the field of historical studies. I found myself enthralled by the way ideas emerge, transform, and subsist throughout the human experience.

While pursuing my history degree in college, I would casually delve into different art forms, gaining an appreciation for the theory underlying each one but without being particularly swayed one way or another. That changed when I enrolled in a 4D Time-Based Art elective. It was there that I received my introduction to the genres of Installation and Performance Art. These forms allowed me to explore ideas with immediacy, deconstruct principles, and put my intuition into practice. The latter is what truly captivated me, specifically, how each stage of the artistic process obliged me to be a witness to my own vulnerability.
My passions for art and history have over the years steadily come into alignment. Both have imparted me with a serene observance of the dynamics behind ideas and the power they carry. I believe that the key to a richer understanding of the ideas that define each age of history is our intuition. It is in the practice of intuition that our sense of legacy is strengthened. Within my art, I seek to create a space where the audience and I can be more in tune with our intuitive capacities so in turn, we might carry a renewed sense of legacy into our everyday lives.
